DSG Studio (“DSG Studio”, “we”, “us”) is the product at dsg.studio. It helps brands and partners prepare catalog data to sell on Dick’s Sporting Goods. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how long we keep it. It also covers the DSG Studio Shopify app and is the privacy policy URL for that app’s Shopify App Store listing.

Whose information this covers
This policy applies to people who visit dsg.studio, create a DSG Studio account, apply as a brand, or install the DSG Studio Shopify app. It does not apply to Dick’s Sporting Goods’ own websites or to shoppers checking out on Dicks.com.
Information you give us
- Account sign-in. Email address and a password, or your name, email, and Google account identifier if you continue with Google.
- Brand applications. Brand name, contact name, contact email, password, brand types, and licensee names you enter on the home page signup form.
- Workspace settings. Marketplace and integration settings you configure inside DSG Studio, including Shopify workspace link codes, catalog import filters, and field-mapping preferences.
Information we collect through the Shopify app
After a merchant installs DSG Studio on Shopify, we request read-only access to products, inventory, locations, and sales channel publications. We store:
- Shop domain and an offline Admin API access token
- Product titles, descriptions, images, vendors, product types, and handles
- Variant SKUs, barcodes (used as UPC), prices, and selected options such as size and color
- Inventory item identifiers, available quantities, unit cost, weight, and country of origin when Shopify provides them
We do not request order, customer, checkout, or payment scopes. The Shopify app does not collect information about a merchant’s customers, drop cookies on storefronts, or process Shopify orders.
Information collected automatically
When you use dsg.studio we store a session cookie so you stay signed in (NextAuth). Servers may log technical request data such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and error traces needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use this information
- Create and maintain your DSG Studio account and workspace
- Review brand applications with Dick’s Sporting Goods as part of onboarding
- Import Shopify catalog and inventory into DSG Studio products and keep quantities current
- Provide support, prevent abuse, and keep the service running
We do not sell personal information, use Shopify catalog data for advertising, or write imported catalog data back to Shopify.
Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to run DSG Studio:
- Google. Google Cloud hosts the application, database, and file storage. Google Sign-In authenticates users who choose Continue with Google.
- Shopify. If you install the app, Shopify provides catalog data through its APIs under Shopify’s terms and your install consent.
- Dick’s Sporting Goods. Brand application details may be reviewed as part of selling on Dicks.com.
- Service providers we use for email, fulfillment, or shipping when you connect those integrations in Studio.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect DSG Studio, our users, or the public.
Retention and deletion
Account and workspace data is kept while your account is active. You can ask us to close an account by emailing support@dsg.studio.
Shopify access tokens are kept while the app is installed. Uninstalling the app wipes the token and stops catalog and inventory jobs. Shopify’s mandatory shop/redact webhook deletes the connection and archives imported catalog records for that shop. Customer data request and customer redact webhooks are acknowledged and logged; this app does not store Shopify customer records, so there is nothing further to export or erase.
Security
We use HTTPS, access controls, and encrypted storage for secrets such as Shopify access tokens. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children
DSG Studio is for business users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of DSG Studio after an update means you accept the revised policy.
